Each project is scoped to your need. We have built software of this kind for our own use inside a working logistics business, but we have not yet delivered custom software for an outside client, so we will say plainly what is new for us.
You also get simple notes on how it works, so another developer could take it over later if you ever want that.
How it works with Berri, week by week
Week 1 is for listening. We meet the people who will use the software, study how the work is done today, and write down one result we both agree on. Before any build starts, you receive a fixed price in writing.
In week 2 you usually see a first working version that handles the main task with your real data. It is small on purpose, so you can try it and tell us what is wrong before more is built.
Then we run it with you and teach your team, step by step, until they are comfortable. If something stops working or needs a change, you talk to a person. Your data belongs to you and can be exported at any time.
Who it suits and who it does not
It suits businesses with a clear, repeated way of working that ready made tools handle badly, and a person who can spend time telling us how the work really happens.
Please buy off the shelf software if a popular product already does what you need, such as accounting, payroll or a standard shop. It will usually cost less and be supported for years.
It is also the wrong choice if the process is still changing every week. Settle the process first, then build for it.

How do I know if I need custom software or a ready made app?
Try the ready made app first if a well known one covers most of your work. Custom software makes sense when your process is unusual, when you are paying for many features you never use, or when staff keep copying data between tools by hand. Berri will tell you honestly if a ready made product fits better.
How much does custom software development cost in India?
It depends on how much the software has to do, so there is no single price. Berri listens in week 1, agrees one clear result, and then gives a fixed price in writing before any build begins. You know the full cost before you commit, and the price does not change unless you change the scope.
How long does it take to build custom software?
With Berri, week 1 is for listening and agreeing the price, and a first working version usually arrives in week 2. That first version covers the main task only. Larger tools are then built in further small steps, each one tested with your team before the next begins.
Who owns the code and the data in custom software?
Your data is yours and can be exported whenever you want. Berri also writes plain notes on how the software works, so you are never locked in. Ownership of the code is written into the agreement before the project starts, so there is no confusion later.
Can custom software work with Tally or Excel?
Yes. Custom software can read Excel sheets and exports from Tally or an ERP, which is the system that runs your accounts and orders. Berri already reads SAP and Excel data inside a working logistics business. How the link works for you depends on your setup, which we check in week 1.
