How a Berri project works
In short
A Berri project has three stages. In week 1 we listen and agree a fixed price in writing. Usually by week 2 you have a first working version built on your real files. After that we run it, fix what breaks, and teach your team until they can manage without us.
Week 1: listen and agree the price
We spend an hour or two with the people who will use the system, look at the files and tools you already have, and pick the one problem worth solving first. You do not need a technical brief. Describe the problem in your own words.
Then we write down what we will build, what a successful first version looks like, and a fixed price. Nothing is built until you have agreed to it in writing.
Usually week 2: a first working version
You get something real in your hands, built on your own files and numbers, not a slide deck. It might be a live board, a daily report, or a WhatsApp assistant answering from your orders.
We review it together against what we agreed. Changes that fit the agreed scope are part of the price. Bigger ideas are discussed openly and priced separately, so there are no surprises.
After that: run and teach
We keep the system running, fix what breaks, and make changes as your business changes. We train your staff in plain language, and write down how it works, so knowledge does not sit in one head.
Your data stays yours and can be exported at any time. If you want to bring the work in-house later, we help you hand it over.
What we need from you
A person who knows the daily work and can answer questions during week 1 and 2, access to the files or systems that hold your data, and honest feedback on the first version. That is all.
For anything involving personal or sensitive data, such as health or financial records, we review the legal duties with you before we start.
Common questions
How long does a first version take?
Usually about two weeks after the price is agreed. The time depends on how clear the problem is and how easy it is to get your data. We say in week 1 if we expect it to take longer, and why.
What do I need to start?
One real problem, someone who knows the daily work, and access to the files or systems that hold the data. You do not need a technical specification or a developer on staff. We help you describe the problem.
Who owns the software and the data?
The data is always yours and can be exported at any time. We agree ownership of anything we build in the written agreement before starting, so there is no doubt later. Ask us about this in week 1.
What happens after the first version?
We run it. That means keeping it working, fixing problems, making changes as your business changes, and training your people. Running and teaching are part of the work, not an extra.
Can Berri work with the software I already use?
Often yes. Berri connects to Tally, SAP, other ERP systems, Excel files, GPS devices and WhatsApp. We build around what you already have. If your current software does the job well, we leave it alone and tell you so.
