A control tower: one live screen for everything that moves
In short
Berri builds control towers for businesses in India. A control tower is one live screen that shows your trucks, orders, stock or field teams in one place, and alerts you when something goes wrong. Berri's own control tower already runs every day inside a working logistics business, so this is built from real use.
The problem it solves
Most businesses find out about a problem after it has cost them money. A truck sat idle for a day, an order was late, stock ran out. The information existed somewhere, but it was spread across GPS apps, Excel sheets and WhatsApp groups, and nobody was looking at all of it together.
When every team keeps its own sheet, there is no single true number. Meetings turn into arguments about whose figure is right instead of what to do next.
A control tower puts the live picture on one screen, so you see the problem while there is still time to act.
What you get
You get one screen, on a computer or a phone, that pulls together the data you already have. That can be GPS from one or several vendors, temperature sensors, Excel sheets, or exports from SAP, Tally or your ERP (the software that runs your accounts and orders).
You also get alerts for the things that matter to you, such as a vehicle idle too long, a delivery running late, or a temperature going out of range. Each alert says what happened and where.
Every number on the screen can be traced back to where it came from. If a feed stops sending data, the screen says so instead of showing an old number as if it were live.
How it works with Berri, week by week
Week 1 is for listening. We sit with the people who will use the control tower, look at what you already have, and agree on one clear result. You then get a fixed price in writing before any build starts.
In week 2 you usually see a first working version: a live board built from data you already have, such as your current GPS feeds or sheets. It is real and usable, not a slide or a mockup, so you can judge it on your own work.
After that we run it and teach your team to use it. When something breaks or needs changing, a person answers. Your data stays yours, and you can export it whenever you want.
Who it suits and who it does not
It suits transporters, distributors, manufacturers and suppliers who have data in several places and want one view of it. It works well for a larger company too, if you want a control tower for one lane, one depot or one team first.
It is the wrong choice if you only need GPS tracking for a few vehicles. The app that came with your GPS device may be enough, and it costs less.
We also do not sell tracking hardware. If you have no data source yet, you will need devices from a hardware vendor first, and we can then read their feed.
Common questions
What is a control tower in logistics?
A control tower is one live screen that shows where your trucks, orders and stock are right now, and warns you when something goes wrong. Instead of checking several GPS apps, sheets and WhatsApp groups, your team watches one place. Berri builds control towers from the data you already have and runs one every day inside a working logistics business.
Can one dashboard show trucks from different GPS providers?
Yes. Many fleets use more than one GPS vendor, and each has its own app. Berri reads the feeds from each vendor and shows every truck on one screen. If one vendor's feed stops, the screen marks those trucks as not reporting rather than showing an old position as live. We read the feeds; we do not sell the devices.
How long does it take to set up a control tower?
Week 1 is spent understanding your work and agreeing a fixed price in writing. In week 2 you usually see a first working version built from data you already have, such as your GPS feeds or Excel sheets. After that Berri runs it and teaches your team, and adds more as you need it.
Do I need to buy new software or devices for a control tower?
Usually not. Berri starts with what you already have: GPS feeds, temperature sensors, Excel sheets, or exports from SAP, Tally or your ERP. If you have no data source at all, for example no GPS on your vehicles, you would need devices from a hardware vendor first. Berri then connects to them.
Who owns the data in my control tower?
You do. The data in your control tower stays yours, and you can export it whenever you want, including if you stop working with Berri. Berri uses your data only to run the screens and alerts you asked for. This is written into how we work from the first week, not added later.
