Bookings, reminders and safer records for clinics
In short
Berri is a new technology company in India that helps clinics reduce missed visits and keep records safer. It builds WhatsApp booking and reminders, simple local websites patients can find, and security checkups of who can open patient records. Health data carries legal duties under the DPDP Act, which Berri reviews with each clinic.
What breaks every day
Reminders go out by phone call, when staff have time, so patients forget and slots go empty.
Patient records sit in spreadsheets or shared computers that anyone in the clinic can open. And many clinics have no website that local patients can find.
What a first version could do in two weeks
A first version could be bookings and reminders on WhatsApp, so patients confirm or move their visit without a phone call.
Alongside it, a basic check of who can open your records and whether backups are actually happening. Berri offers security checkups as a trial for now. A simple local website can follow.
How Berri works with you
In week 1 we listen to how your front desk handles bookings and records, and give you a fixed price in writing.
Health and personal data carry legal duties under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act. Its Rules were notified on 13 Nov 2025 and most duties apply after 18 months, about 13 May 2027 (Mondaq, https://www.mondaq.com/india/data-protection/1708164/digital-personal-data-protection-rules-2025-notified). Berri would review what this means for your patient data with you before building. This is not legal advice, and your lawyer should confirm it.
Usually in week 2 you see the first version. Then we run it and teach your staff.
Who it is not for
Berri does not build hospital management systems or medical record software, and it does not give medical or legal advice.
If your clinic already uses a booking app that sends reminders and you are happy with it, you may not need us.
Common questions
How can a clinic send appointment reminders on WhatsApp?
A WhatsApp assistant can send a reminder before each visit and let the patient confirm or ask to move it. Berri builds and runs these assistants, and runs one in daily use in a logistics business today. Your front desk stays in control of the diary and sees every change.
How do I reduce patient no-shows?
Timely reminders that are easy to answer help most. A WhatsApp reminder the day before, with a simple way to confirm or reschedule, lets you offer an empty slot to someone else. Berri can set this up, and we will tell you honestly how much it helps once it runs on your own bookings.
Does the DPDP Act apply to small clinics?
If your clinic holds patient details, the Digital Personal Data Protection Act is likely to apply. Its Rules were notified on 13 Nov 2025, and most duties apply after 18 months, about 13 May 2027, as reported by Mondaq. Berri reviews this with each clinic, but a lawyer should advise you on your exact duties.
How do I keep patient records in spreadsheets safe?
Start by checking who can open the files, removing shared logins, and making sure backups actually run. A security checkup looks at these basics. Berri offers security checkups as a trial for now and will show you what it finds in plain words, with clear steps to fix each item.
Does my clinic need a website?
If patients search for a clinic near them, a simple website with your address, timings and services helps them find and trust you. It does not need to be big. Berri builds simple local websites and can link booking to WhatsApp.
